We've often heard of keeping breakfast and meals healthy, but how about keeping snack time healthy too! Read more to find out a few smart ways to keep snack time healthy. written by Monisha
healthy snacksCommonly , while discussing about switching to healthy food habits we discuss about healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner. What about the snacks? A snack  had in between meals, usually calls for chips, biscuits, pretzels, chicken nuggets, French fries and much more. Snacks are either ignored or given last priority while preparing the menu of the day. In fact, most of us enjoy munching either chips or in India some oily pakodas in between meal times, especially while watching the TV. An unhealthy snack habit can also be a reason of your health problems or weight issues.

However, you can very well substitute your chips, wafers and cookies with something healthy! Healthy snacks can add a good amount of nutrition in your diet instead of adding calories; most healthy snacks are rich in fiber and give boost in energy. Planning ahead can help you keep snack time nutritious and enjoyable, without any guilt. I always come up with new innovative ideas for after school snack and have introduced these ideas with my children, who enjoyed them a lot.
