Healthy soup for fitness

green soupIngredients:

  • 1/2-cup green peas
  • 1-cup chopped spinach
  • 1/2-cup fresh corn crenels
  • 1 large carrot

  • 3-4 large tomatoes
  • Salt as desired
  • 1-teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1-teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 glass of water
  • 2-3 drops of lemon juice
  • Method of preparation:

    Chop the carrots into bite sized pieces and keep it aside.
    Cut the tomatoes into pieces and keep it aside.
    In a pressure cooker add carrots, tomatoes, green peas, spinach and water.
    Pressure cook it for 2-3 whistles
    Simmer for 2 minutes.
    Once at room temperature, blend it.
    Strain the mixture in a large strainer and bring it to a boil
    Add cumin powder, black pepper and salt as desired.
    Add lemon juice and serve.

    Tips

    Make a puree of 4 tomatoes. Soak some rice for 30 minutes and grind it coarsely. Add this to the pureed tomatoes. Apply this mixture all over the body and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Bathe with warm water; this is a good scrub recipe for oily skin.
