Though such things modify our lifestyle, making life easy going, it brings some health hazards too. Body ache is one of them.

Here is the list of lifestyle factors leading to body pain and tips to manage them.

  • Too much use of electronic gadgets

Electronic gadgets are becoming part and parcel of our everyday life. Now computer, laptop or Smartphone becomes our basic necessity, and we can’t imagine our life without them.
However, excessive use of such electronic gadgets can turn out fatal rather than offering convenience.

Computer induced pain
Computer use is one of the major risks for office-related repetitive strain injuries (RSIs).Sitting in front of desktop computers or working on a laptop for prolonged period strain neck and shoulder muscles causing persistent neck and shoulder pain. Pain gets to worsen if wrists and elbow are not supported well, and monitor is at too high or too low position. Additionally, poorly positioned chair drop you forward, which can result in back pain.

Carrying laptop bag on shoulder strain back and shoulder muscles. Besides, stress exert on a forearm can result in tennis elbow, a painful condition.

  • Place the monitor with the top of a screen at an eye level to reduce muscle strain
  • Use positioning chair where you can sit straight with your feet touching floor and having armrest to support elbow

  • Take a break while texting
  • Limit your texting or playing games.
  • Driving

Excessive forward bending while driving in order to grip the steering wheel pulls your head away from headrest. The resulting neck muscles strain causes neck pain and forward bending cause back pain.

  • Adjust your sit so that you can position upright providing good support to head and back and at easy reach of a steering wheel so your arms are at relaxed position.
  • You can use specialised neck pillow to support neck or back pillow to support back while commuting for long time.
  • Smoking

Smoking is not only injurious to the health but also reason for chronic pain.   • Overweight

Weight of the body is directly transmitted on joints. Knee, hip and ankle joints are major weight-bearing joints of the body. Bearing of extra weight strains bones and joints resulting in osteoarthritis, a clinical condition characterized by joint stiffness and pain.

  • Do regular exercises such as walking, swimming or aerobics to burn extra pounds
  • Adopt healthy eating habit. Eat fibre rich whole-grains, fruits, and vegetables. Avoid spicy, oily, salted, starchy and processed food.
  • Sedentary lifestyle

Sedentary lifestyle associated with job or too much dependency on automatic machines loses muscles tone and strength. This can exaggerate pain.

  • Performing daily exercises like aerobic, strengthening or stretching releases endorphin, a feel-good factor which not only lifts your mood but also blocks pain.
  • Faulty diet

Eating poor or faulty diet without adequate nutrition hampers repair and healing of muscular tissues. This results in muscle cramping and muscular pain.

  • Eat a well-balanced diet rich in nutrition.
  • Add colorful fruits, vegetables, whole-grains (healthy carbohydrate), fish (healthy fat), bean and nuts (healthy proteins), and dairy products (calcium)
  • Restrict intake of sugar, salt and processed foods
  • Stress

Stress in any form like depression, sadness, loneliness or anxiety not only causes emotional impact but can express as pain.

    Same daily routine continued for long time makes muscles stiff which can cause pains in body parts.modern life is full of such activities,for this rest and relaxation with exercise and meditations are to be included in daily routine.mind body coordination will be established.and no pain.

    Yes I agree that modern & controlling lifestyle causes pains in many body parts.
    Due to busy service & buisness schedules many parts of body not in regular movement,
    due to same schedule generally peoples sit in front of dekstop for long hours, which cause servical pain & back pain eye burning etc..
